As the crickets sang last night alongside the bullfrogs in my pond outside, I heard their melody as Ratna Dakini's "RI". It was one of the last things I recall before falling asleep - a lullaby of sorts from the mundane slipping into the supermundane!
It reminded me of a part in Khandro-la's new book, Volume II of The Heart of Cho: DAKINI JOURNEY in the Contemporary World:
"In subtle body training, we use certain postures and movements, such as squatting and focusing on the critical point, to connect to the lower gate while reciting the seed syllable as we just did in the meditation. We utter the seed syllable "RI" of Ratna Dakini to transform the knots at the chakra, to invoke, the specific awakened energies within and to experience a sense of our internal transformation." (page 259)
We who know and practice with Khandro-la are so grateful for her kindness and fortitude for bringing these traditional lineage practices into this contemporary world!
