I'm fascinated with Pemako and for good reason, so here is a rabbit hole I went down. The site is located at the bottom of this post and it's worth taking the time to read.
I want to add an edit too that, if you read this site and the reasons behind this particular form of Vajrayogini, the author states, "Vajrayogini was able to overcome [the obstacles] through Her practice." That really reached out and touched me.
Third edit/addition/response: @Dakinis Whisper Khandro-la brought back the sindura powder from this region too and that info is in one of my journals that's stashed away, but I want to say from the crown of Vajrayogini's head? Regardless of where, I appreciated the full circle of it all.
I too have had this fascination with Pemako. I suppose you have read Ian Baker's book, The Heart of the World? Thanks for sharing.
