    Dancing in the Cave

    in Subtle Body & Therapeutic

In our SBT classes we dance and dancing is not something I do around others (Note: my camera is always pointing "too far up" for any of you to see me) and definitely not something I do outside of class. Imagine me as the subdued yogini sitting in her cold stone cave and you'll get the idea of who I believe I am. In that scenario, I hear my heart teacher, Khandro-la, in the distance joyously laughing and telling me she will help me crawl out of the safety of my cave to dance in the sunshine in front of the world.

    "Okay, fine."

There's this song entitled 'I Walk With The Goddess' by Kellianna that evokes happiness within me, brings my voice out of me, and all the dirty emotions that have been lingering inside begin flow out of me in the form of tears. I feel free, brighter, and willing to stay open when I hear this song. And true to my teacher's words, I dance to it now. Maybe it's only my two baby cats who get to see me dance, but I hope they too feel the dakinis around me dancing. If how I feel after listening to this song is bliss, I'll dance forever now.

    "Ahhhhhhh ..."
