The Common Chö Empowerment (Opening the Sky Door) opens the door to Machik Labdrön’s blessing stream and is the essential entry point into the Five Dakini practice—the foundational training that begins the Chö path.

The Five Dakini practice is the first step inside. As the ngöndro of the Chö lineage, the Five Dakinis train practitioners in the five awakened energies that underlie all Chö methods. Each Dakini embodies one of these energies, attuning body, speech, mind, qualities, and activity to the forces that animate Chö at every level. In this lineage, receiving the empowerment and engaging the Five Dakini practice together form the authentic foundation for entering the full path of Chö.
