Join us for a special online event featuring “Recognizing My Mother: An Experiential Song on the View,” also translated as “Recognizing Emptiness – The Mother: A Song on the Experience of the Middle Way View” by Changkya Rölpai Dorjé. This poetic, deeply experiential teaching reveals the ultimate nature of reality—emptiness—through the intimate metaphor of recognizing one’s own mother.
Written in the style of a personal song of realization, the text captures the culmination of profound meditative insight. The “mother” symbolizes the wisdom of realizing emptiness—the heart of the Madhyamaka view. With vivid imagery and precision, the song guides us through the process of cutting through conceptual elaborations and resting in the luminous, ungraspable nature of mind.
Fulfilling a long-held aspiration, especially of Khandro-la, we are honored to welcome Gen Rinpoche Yeshe Thabke to teach this rare and precious song. Khandro-la studied the view with Gen Rinpoche during her early training in India, and after five decades, her beloved teacher will now offer these teachings to us all—with his clear insight and boundless compassion.
This song serves not only as a philosophical exposition but also as a contemplative guide and devotional reminder that realization is not conceptual, but direct and experiential. It invites us to encounter the ultimate view in meditation, beyond words and speculation.
Don't miss this opportunity to receive the transmission, lived experience, and direct commentary on the view from one of our era’s most respected masters.
