Updated: Jan 6

Embody Awakened Qualities Through Dakini Subtle Body Yogic Exercises

OPEN TO ALL LEVELS OF PHYSICAL ABILITY

Five Saturdays, January 13 - February 10, 2024

1 – 2:30 pm, PST

Enlightenment arises from within the body,

Or it does not arise at all.

Unless the body is realized as a perfect vessel for liberation,

Freedom from conditioned existence remains only an imaginary dream.

INVITATION

Start 2024 with the new SUBTLE BODY YOGA, Basics II, series. Awakened Beings possess the complete manifestation of the qualities of compassion, wisdom, and power. How can we cultivate these same awakened qualities in us that will lead us to become immense benevolent presences in the world of struggles? Through various subtle body exercises and meditations, we will explore Buddha’s qualities of deepest caring, discerning insight into the ultimate reality of emptiness, and limitless power, expressed as Avalokiteshvara, Manjushri, and Vajrapani. We will see if we can uncover and embody our own awakened nature through these movements, dancing, and mantra chanting.

SUBTLE BODY YOGA is an integrated, transformative training of the psycho-physical body based on advanced Tantric theory and practice. The beginnings of the yogic tradition can be traced back over 5,000 years ago in India when ancient yogis and yoginis engaged in physical exercises along with pranayama to prepare their bodies for long periods of seated meditation. This series could lead you to a unique and evolutionary home study experience resulting in genuine transformation.

Whether you are new to the path of Buddhist Tantric practice or yoga, or are an experienced student or teacher, we invite you to join us for this unique and potent exploration to support your Dharma practice and your life of service to others!

If you are a DW Training student in the SBY Stream, this series is a Level 1 transmission and practice. This series will include a reading assignment of Chapter Eight, Dakini As the Subtle Body, pp. 180 - 202, in Dakini Journey in the Contemporary World by Choying Khandro.
